JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Charleston Southern is 15th among the team standings following the first two rounds of the UNF Collegiate held at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.
The Bucs shot 305-299 to finish 28-over par through two rounds in Jacksonville as the Buccaneers battled the field on Monday. Senior Andriel Aimua is tied for 12th through 36 holes with the senior shooting the team's low round of 71 in round two.
Aimua was 2-over the first 18 holes with the Woodbury, Minn. native posting a pair of birdies, including one on the first hole of the day. She followed up with a trio of birdies in her 1-under, 71 round going under par on holes 10, 16, and 17. She finished the day 1-over to sit in a 10-way tie for 12th overall in the field.
Ellen Hume bounced back from a tough opening round to sit tied for 39th overall in the field. The London, England native was 5-over on the day finishing with five birdies over the two rounds.
Daniela Intriago was one stroke back from Hume to sit tied for 43rd in the field. The sophomore birdied the ninth hole twice on the day and added birdies on 14 and 16 in her first round to sit 6-over through 36 holes.
Sarah Hameed battled the field as an individual. The freshman is 13-over through two rounds to sit tied for 87th in the field.
Charleston Southern tees off in the final round of the UNF Collegiate tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. The Bucs are scheduled to start on holes 13, 14, and 15, at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.
