CHARLOTTE, N.C. (BigSouthSports.com) - Charleston Southern sophomore guard Ke'Asia Jackson was named to the 2016-17 Big South Women's Basketball All-Conference Second Team as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Alyssa Mann was also recognized among the conference postseason award winners earning All-Conference Honorable Mention and All-Academic honors.

Jackson led the Buccaneers in multiple categories on the season including points, field goal percentage, free throws made, and free throw percentage. Jackson finished second in the conference in scoring with 15.4 points per game and scored double-digits in 25 of 28 games played in the regular season. The Irmo, S.C. native led the Big South in free throw percentage connecting on 85.1% (103-of-121) of her attempts from the line. She was sixth in the conference in field goal percentage (42.3%) and was one of only three players in the conference to make at least 100 free throws in the 2016-17 season.

Jackson scored 20 or more points in six different games this season including a career-high 29 points on December 30 against Western Carolina. She earned Big South Player of the Week honors for her efforts against the Catamounts.

Jackson added 26 points in CSU's contest against High Point and added 20 point performances in wins against Winthrop (23), Gardner-Webb (22), and Campbell (20).

Mann earns postseason recognition for the second consecutive season after receiving Honorable Mention honors in the 2015-16 season. Mann averaged 11.5 points per game and finished third in the conference in averaging 3.9 assists per game. She became just the 15th player in CSU program history to reach the 1,000 career point mark this season and currently sits among the Bucs' all-time leaders in points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers, and steals.

Mann earned All-Academic honors for the second season as well. She graduated with a degree in Kinesiology in May 2016 and currently has a 3.75 GPA while pursuing her MBA at CSU.

High Point sophomore guard Emma Bockrath and Campbell head coach Ronny Fisher have been voted the 2016-17 Big South Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, respectively, by the league's head coaches.  The panel voted Liberty forward Keyen Green Freshman of the Year and Campbell guard MaKala Rouse as the league's Defensive Player of the Year.  Presbyterian College junior guard Janie Miles was honored as the Scholar-Athlete of the Year in a vote of the league's Sports Information Directors.
