Buccaneers beat Bisons in 67-52 win at Lipscomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Charleston Southern wrapped up their holiday week on the road with a 67-52 win at Lipscomb.

The Buccaneers (3-2) never trailed in the contest and had two players shoot for double-digits. Alyssa Mann put up three three-pointers and shot 80% (4-5) from the charity line.  Saturday's victory marked the redshirt-senior's fourth 10+ point-game this season and the 42nd double-digit game of her career.  Ke'Asia Jackson also recorded her fourth double-digit game this season; contributing 12 points to the Bucs' 15-point win.

"Alyssa Mann and Ke'Asia Jackson shot the ball and helped make it a great road win for the Bucs," said CSU Head Coach Fred Applin.

CSU was strong in the paint, holding a 30-24 point advantage over Lipscomb and capitalizing on second-chance points with a 14-9 advantage over the Bisons.  Elyse Kiploks gave her best offensive and defensive performance of the season with six points and 14 rebounds for the Bucs.

"Elyse Kiploks did a great job and gave an impressive rebounding performance tonight," Applin said.

Lipscomb (1-5) put up tough fight, cutting the Bucs' lead down to eight points two times in the third period.  Alex Banks was a standout player for the Bisons.  The redshirt-senior had a double-double, with 21 points and 12 rebounds in the contest.  Banks was Lipscomb's only player to hit double-digits and shot 60% (3-5) from beyond the arc.

The Buccaneers now turn their attention back home as they welcome South Carolina State to the Buc Dome next Sunday.  Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
