CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charleston Southern senior E.J. Reddick set a personal best en route to winning the triple jump to lead the way at Friday and Saturday's 49er Classic, hosted by UNC Charlotte at the Irwin Belk Track.

Reddick easily surpassed his prior best with an effort of 15.29 meters to pace the 30-competitor field. The outing was a terrific start to his final outdoor season for coach Roosevelt Lofton's Bucs. Fellow jumper Jared Watkins turned in a strong showing in the high jump, leaping 2.00 meters to take home a fifth place finish.

Sprinters Josh Paramore, Kaishon Murray, Braxton Drummond and Dequan Campbell teamed to run to a fifth place standing the in 4x100 meter dash. The quartet crossed the finish line in 41.94 seconds to run ahead of the likes of Winthrop and Western Carolina.

Paramore and Drummond also excelled individually by earning berths in the 100-meter finals, parsed down from a group of 93 sprinters. The duo finished third and fourth in the finals with times of 10.54 and 10.57 seconds, respectively. Murray narrowly placed outside the finals field, placing ninth.

Jacob Moore led the Bucs' throws squad with a 12th place standing in the hammer throw, tossing 43.76 meters.

CSU is back on the track next Friday and Saturday at the UNF Spring Break Invite in Jacksonville, Florida. Drummond, a 2014 First Team All-American long jumper, will make his debut in that event.
