CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charleston Southern's Alan Smith and Connor Moore were recognized among the Big South men's golf postseason award winners on Monday afternoon as the conference office announced the annual awards.
Smith was recognized to the Big South's All-Freshman team, while Moore earned All-Academic recognition to pace the Bucs.
Smith sat among CSU's scoring leaders on the season and averaged 74.35 strokes per round on the year. The Winchendon, Mass. native earned Big South Freshman of the Week honors on March 28 for his performance at the Furman Intercollegiate.
He marks the second freshman to earn All-Freshman honors in consecutive seasons joining Moore (2018) and is just the third freshman in program history to earn the postseason recognition.
Moore earns his second postseason recognition in as many seasons in earning recognition on the All-Academic team. A 2018 All-Freshman selection, Moore posted a 3.95 GPA in the classroom while majoring in Math/Economics.
The Bluffton, S.C. native posted a 73.69 stroke average on the year and led the Bucs in the conference championships, tying with Brandon Smith for the lowest score on the CSU team over the weekend.
